"i-doit has been operative in the administration of the City Bad Homburg v.d. Höhe for about two years. We use this tool for the documentation of large sections of our IT. This includes around 90 physical and virtual servers, networks, other IT equipment and all software and licenses. i-doit has become for us almost the main IT information.

Before using this tool the documentation was unclear. It was placed in different locations, filed within different software, and therefore, incomplete. We have now eliminated these gaps. The tool is also very useful for creating emergency manuals and for the definition of IT service management practices. Through the meaningful connection of the individual elements a solution has arisen, which simplifies to the extreme the documentation (tiresome but necessary)."

For the past two years or so, the German Cancer Research Center has been using i-doit for its server and contractual documentation. We currently manage approximately 500 objects in the CMDB. Amongst the servers, the entire network including the electric wiring is shown. This alone offers ease of work, because all information is immediately visible and accessible. This helps us in rewiring, for example. The ability to store multiple data and the open source code of i-doit are especially important to us. Both permit optimal usage of the tool.
